Chasing Shadows
A shadow, a cloud,
A flood of grey,
Trickling,
Dribbling,
Cool shade over you.
A cloak, a cape,
Swaddling cool,
Paddling pools,
In deep hues we played.
We chased our shadows
Into the shade.

Shadows are wonderful little spaces! Thanks for reading this one, Brian.
“We chased our shadows
Into the shade.” I really liked this, and after all that’s where the beverages (beers) are !!
True! And a chair to sit on.
This is very clever… Love the idea of chasing shadows into the shade, where they THEN just disappear! Enjoyed this.
